Our First Aid for Sports courses will give you thorough training in sports related injuries and emergencies, such as asthma, bleeding and the recovery position. You will gain a First Aid certificate valid for three years, as well as the confidence and skills to be able to deliver First Aid in an emergency. 

For those needing a fully accredited EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) qualification, we also offer 6 hour accredited courses which offer specific training on sporting injuries. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Qualsafe qualification valid for three years. 

First Aid for Life is an Award Winning fully regulated First Aid Training provider, our trainers are highly experienced medical and emergency services professionals who will tailor the training to your needs and ensure it is relevant to your work and Sport.

  • How to put and adult, baby or child into the Recovery Position
  • How to perform CPR on an adult, child and baby
  • How to help someone suffering a Heart Attack
  • How and when to use a defibrillator (AED)
  • How to help someone choking, drowning, or suffering from a head injury
  • How to treat someone bleeding or suffering from burns
  • How to recognise and treat seizures and febrile convulsions
  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of septicaemia and meningitis
  • Understand the priorities in an emergency and when to call an ambulance
  • Action planning in an emergency
  • Treatment of an unconscious breathing casualty (Recovery Position)
  • Resuscitation in adults, babies and children (CPR)
  • Choking & Drowning
  • What to put into your First aid kit
  • Bleeding – minor and major
  • Burns
  • Head injuries – concussion & compression
  • Seizures & Febrile convulsions
  • Meningitis
3 hours.

Our experienced trainers will use questions and scenarios to assess your understanding and skills throughout the course.

Your Emergency First Aid certificate will be awarded on the day, and is valid for 3 years.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course adapted for Sports is a one day course covering care of the unconscious casualty as well as commonly occurring injuries in adults and children. Our course uniquely adds in additional areas to the EFAW syllabus and covers heart attacks, head and spinal injuries as well as asthma and other elements of First Aid crucial to sports.
