- Anyone wanting to undertake a basic first aid course covering adult, baby and child first aid, who would like to know how to help in an emergency, but are not looking to be Ofsted Registered or to be a formal first aider.
- Faith groups wanting to ensure volunteers and those attending meetings and prayer groups are appropriately trained to help in a medical emergency.
- Community groups, such as Bee keepers, craft groups, book groups, choirs, keep fit, orchestras, flower arranging, allotment groups and many more. We will always tailor the course to ensure it covers the topics you need and is totally relevant to your requirements.
- Volunteers needing a basic first aid qualification.
Every course is tailored to the needs of those attending – please let us know if there are particular areas you need us to cover.
Our practical courses cover adult, baby and child first aid. CPR, Recovery Position, using an AED plus common medical emergencies in adults, babies and children.
For group courses we will organise a bespoke content entirely to your needs and relevant to your group requirements.
This course will be adapted to the needs of those attending, but as a guide we usually cover:
- Action in an emergency
- Priorities if your baby or child appears to be unconscious
- How to establish if they are breathing
- Understanding the best time to phone an ambulance
- Practical sessions on the recovery position and resuscitation (CPR)
- Using an AED
- How to put an adult, baby and child into the recovery position
- Choking
- First Aid kits
- Bleeding and Shock
- Burns and Scalds
- Poisoning
- Head injuries
- Seizures

Our experienced trainers will use questions and scenarios to assess your understanding and skills throughout the course and will ensure you are fully confident with the practical sessions.
Your certificate is valid for 3 years and provides verifiable CPD and an Appointed Person qualification

These 3 hour courses, covering adult, baby and child first aid, are extremely popular and we cover all the common first aid emergencies and empower you with confidence to help when it really matters.
Our courses are extremely practical and we have ample mannequins to enable loads of hands-on experience.
If you would like a bespoke group course, we would be delighted to come to your home or venue of your choice and run a group course at a time and place to suit you.
You will be awarded with an Emergency First Aid Certificate valid for 3 years. This certificate also awards verifiable CPD and is equivalent to an HSE Appointed Person First Aid certificate.
If you need to be a formal first aider, you should book onto one of our full day regulated EFAW courses.
